My 3 Favorite Cafés in Ho Chi Minh

Vietnamese coffee, you either love it or hate it, depending on if you think it's too strong. I had my first sip at age 8 and have never looked back. However, I don't need coffee to "survive" as I'm pretty much immune to caffeine at this point. Instead, I consider my morning cup, my mid-day coffee breaks, and after dinner lattes a way to relax and unwind. The smell of coffee just makes me happier, which is probably why my boyfriend always asks if I want coffee when I'm being a bitch (hah).

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a Tourist Trap

If you searched "things to do in Bangkok", the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market will be listed as one of the top 10 activities. After all, it's a tourist trap for a reason.

We spontaneously decided to take a trip outside of the city to visit the market on a Saturday morning, and by morning, I mean 7:30AM. Traffic starts after 10AM, according to the locals, and it's about a two hour drive, so 7-7:30AM (latest 8AM) is suggested.

Everly Hotel

Drive right up to the valet and allow them to open the door to your next getaway. The staff's friendly smiles and attentiveness will make you feel warm and welcomed as soon as you step onto the property.

The distinctive door leading into the hotel will leave you in awe and worry that you actually open it incorrectly, or maybe that's just me. Just a few steps in and you'll reach the check-in counter, where a seamless process will occur and the next thing you know, you're in your room.

Kendall's Brasserie

Extend the night out or start it off with a French restaurant in Los Angeles, that's located right by the Music Center. Kendall's Brasserie is a gem that I just discovered and fell in love with, from the lively bartending staff to the high quality, consistent service given throughout the meal. It is my new recommended date night spot for those looking for a place that has excellent Instagrammable worthy entrees that is full of flavor.

Hotel Solamar

Located just a few blocks from Hotel Palomar, is Hotel Solamar, another Kimpton hotel and while the two are similar in name, you can immediately tell the difference upon stepping inside.

I will have to admit that Solamar needs some interior updating within the rooms, however the lobby area is beautiful and the staff is quite welcoming.

Hotel Palomar San Diego

Hidden behind the big wooden door is the entrance to Hotel Palomar in downtown San Diego. While it is within walking distance to a few favorited spots of the locals, it can be a bit deceiving to locate as it's wedged in the middle of the block. Make sure to look for the wooden door and the friendly valet guys in front so you don't miss it. (Note: valet is a 3rd party service and has a texting option to retrieve your car).

Pendry San Diego

The Pendry in San Diego is located right in the middle of Downtown. The perfect location as there's so much to do, even within the hotel itself.

The gorgeous design of The Pendry will take your breathe away. From the moment you walk into the lobby to the time you step into your room, there are so many photogenic corners inside this boutique hotel.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room that had a great city view with large windows and overlooked the pool. Needless to say, the room was just the right size and I loved how spacious the shower was. Aside from the comfortable king size bed, my second favorite part about the room is the beautiful marble sink in the bathroom. Talk about bathroom goals.
