Updated Travel Guide to La Paz (2021)

The last time I was in La Paz was in 2018 and since then, this town has somehow gotten more beautiful. The sunsets in La Paz are magical, they leave you speechless. The local cuisine will have you questioning why you haven’t been eating these dishes before. The people are beyond kind and the activities we did each day left me full and happy. There is just so much to do, to explore, and discover in La Paz that I know that I’ll be back for a 3rd trip soon.

Located in a beautiful little town known as Rosarito, is a vacation “home” that’ll leave you feeling refreshed and well-rested. I say “home” because Native Residence is not exactly your average hotel or vacation rental. There are 5 casas on-site (with one more being added right now), each with a unique layout, a common kitchen area, and the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet — Poncho.

Inspiration in Every Corner at the Merchant House High Desert

With most stays, I always go off the vibe above everything else, and when I stepped through the bright yellow doors leading into the front porch, I felt a huge sense of calmness. I’ve seen all the photos of the front porch on social media and didn’t expect to actually be impressed still. You know how you’ve seen the Effiel Tower all over the Internet but then when you stand in front of it, you still can’t get over how beautiful it really is? Yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt. It is even more gorgeous in person than in photos. But that’s just the beginning.

Perfect Day at Coco Cay via Royal Caribbean

I’m going to be honest, my favorite type of destinations are ones that have the least amount of people around, which I know is really impossible when you’re on a cruise right? However, I was quite surprised by our recent trip to The Bahamas with Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas.

Fairmont Kea Lani

When I’m feeling stressed and want to get away, the first place I typically opt for is Hawaii. Being from LA, it’s not an easy flight over to the islands but picking which one is . usually the hardest part. This trip, we picked Maui, for the vibes, the food, and for the Fairmont Kea Lani. It was the best decision we made for our last trip of the year.

Travel Guide: Maldives

While many believe that the Maldives should be reserved for special occasions and yes, the general demographics are couples, we went as a group of 6 girls (for a press trip) and had just or even more fun together than if we had gone with our significant others. Leaving me to really urge those who want to go to the Maldives to just go and not “wait for the right time.

Travel Guide: Havana

Just a short flight over from Miami is a country that is rich in culture and full of life. Vibrant, good vibes were felt all around as I explored Havana. The people were not only welcoming, but were so helpful and patience as we tried our best to communicate. Those four years of Spanish class in high school only got me by when it came to asking for where the bathroom was and to ensure that no cheese was included in my pasta. Hah.

If you’re in need of a getaway from Vancouver or have some extra days while you’re in Vancouver, head out to Whistler and enjoy the fresh air, ride the Peak 2 Peak gondola, and maybe get lucky and see some bears. We saw two during our 3-day stay!

There is a lot to do in Whistler and while the area is known for outdoor activities, there are also some cool museums, great places to dine, and things you can do on the milder side.

After standing in line for 3.5 hours through customs, due to the airport’s computers being down, I was beyond excited to realize that all I had to do was take an elevator upstairs to get to the Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel. Within 20 minutes, I was checked into my room on the Fairmont Gold level, in a robe and refreshing myself with some snacks and drinks from the exclusive 24-hour lounge.
