My Hair Care Routine with Hair Food

This post is sponsored by Hair Food, however, all opinions are a reflection of my own.

With the heat increasing in LA lately, I’ve been finding myself styling my hair less with heat tools and relying more on my hair care routine for easy, no fuss, on-the-go hair. Skipping the blow-dryer completely, I’ve been letting the LA weather air dry my hair and with Hair Food’s Smooth Collection, I get a smooth and sleek look every time.

By the way, hair care is self-care, and I don’t care what anyone else thinks.

Since my hair falls on the oiler side, I actually wash it only a couple of times a week. I double cleanse and finish off with conditioner, before applying a hair towel for 20-30 minutes. Once it’s 80% dry, I undo the hair towel and let the beautiful weather take over to dry the rest.

While washing my hair can be a daunting task, because of how thick my hair is, the results are always worth the effort. If you’re looking for the easiest way to boost your mood after a bad day, wash your hair and watch how you’ll go from feeling “eh” to "yes!” The confidence you get when your hair looks good cannot be denied — especially with Hair Food’s Avocado and Argan Oil Smoothing shampoo & conditioner. It is the perfect duo for all hair types, infused with the gentle essence of moisturizing avocado and smoothing argan. Plus it is free of sulfates, dyes, and parabens. Not only does my hair feel smooth, sexy, and soft after a good washing, but it is also nourished and healthy.

For days where I need a little extra help with frizz though, I use Hair Food’s Avocado and Argan Oil Smoothing Hair Oil. It is also sulfate-free, dye-free, paraben-free, and works to soften and smooth thirsty locks. You know how your body is supposed to stay hydrated, well your hair does too. This hair oil does the trick and doesn’t take up too much space so don’t forget to take it with you on those upcoming summer trips. Trust me, you’re not going to want to leave your home without it.

The next time you’re in need of a mood booster or want to up your self-care routine, add in hair washing, and don’t forget the Hair Food. You can shop Hair Food products at your local Walmart and on Walmart.com.
