Cabo-inspired Bridal Shower in Los Angeles

Spent the weekend celebrating the bride-to-be and my future sister-in-law, Keisha, at her beautiful bridal shower. The bridal shower was hosted in the backyard of the groom’s family home in Los Angeles.

Since they’ll be tying the knot in Cabo in a few months, the Matrons of Honor collaborated with their closest friends to put together a Cabo-inspired bridal shower for Keisha. The majority of the items used for the bridal shower were sourced from Los Angeles, with the flowers fresh from the Flower Mart in DTLA, table runner from the Fashion District, and the food are LA-based businesses. While the chairs were rented, the tables were provided by the groom’s family and tablecloths were borrowed from another relative.

From the use of space to the details of where the floral arrangements were placed on the table, Jeromie brought this backyard space alive with just the right touch of tropical vibes. Taking inspiration from the couple’s color palette for their wedding, Jeromie created a gorgeous floral installation, used as the backdrop for photos. In addition, the dessert table was also beautifully decorated with touches of floral arrangements alongside the desserts and cake provided by Two Chicks in the Mix.

There were 50 attendees for the event, all of who enjoyed the unlimited tacos and mimosa bar. Games were played with one very unique one that took about 15 minutes and left the crowd laughing until their stomach hurt. This game was called “Keisha’s Love Story” and involved the groom dressed up in a wedding dress, parading around with clues clipped on him, that were required to fill in the blank of this love story. The attendees had to pay close attention to the hints on the wedding dress as Chris took a lap around the tables before ending up next to his soon-to-be bride. The person with the most filled out and correct answers won. Another fun one we played was “Over and Under”, where attendees had to guess whether the statement was over or under (example: the couple’s wedding date is 53 days away — is the number of days over or under?). Other games included guessing what Keisha’s answers would be to the statements listed on the paper and a scratcher game called “who’s the groom?”

It was a day filled with love and a lot of laughter, as Keisha and Chris’s closest friends and family celebrated their love. We cannot wait until their big day in Cabo, and this bridal shower made all of us just a little more excited for it!
