Ojai Valley Inn

It isn't a far drive to one of the most blissful and relaxing places in Ojai. Just less than two hours away is Ojai Valley Inn, one of Ojai's most luxurious resorts and now I can see why.

Ojai is a beautiful valley and what I consider a hidden gem, as I believe that it's often overlooked by many. Whenever I'm looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend, I always think of Ojai. Why? Well, aside from the breathtaking views, Ojai is simple in comparison to LA.

No hustle or bustle or crazy schedules forcing unnecessary amounts of traffic. If I want to go into town, I can easily borrow one of the bikes from the Ojai Valley Inn, even grab a picnic basket and fill it up with delicious snacks from the market and head straight into town.

Aside from the rental bikes, Ojai Valley Inn has an eventful calendar that offers fun family activities, you can also golf at any time, shop, or chill by the pool. There's plenty to do but you can also do strictly nothing as well. It's totally up to you and that is the best part.

In addition to the market, Ojai Valley Inn has several dining options including our favorite, The Oak. While we didn't get a chance to grab dinner at The Oka, we were able to enjoy breakfast and loved the fact that they have fresh juices. Service was amazing, our waiter was extremely attentive and my water cup was never empty.

For what I suggest to try at The Oak, get the caramelized brioche french toast, protein bowl, and whatever their juice or smoothie of the day. You will thank me later.

Now aside from all the amazing resort features, let's talk about the room we stayed in. We spent the night at the fireplace Shangri-La room, which included a fireplace, expansive bathroom with double vanity sinks, and oversized tub and separate shower. Our balcony overlooked the golf course and the bed was so comfortable that we requested a late check out so that we can sleep it in longer.

The resort itself is pretty huge, so a golf cart is available upon request to take you around. However, if you spend some time walking around, you'll run into the gorgeous trees, birds, and discover some great viewpoints on the property. The staff is also extremely helpful and will recommend some great places for you off-site if needed.

While we only got to spend one night, due to back-to-back scheduling, it was just enough for us to fall in love with this place. Ojai Valley Inn really needs no introduction though, to be honest, as it's one of the top spots people stay at in Ojai. However, if you're unfamiliar with the area in general, make sure to bookmark this one for your next trip!

Thank you so much to Ojai Valley for havig us. We will be back soon!
