Spa Date at the Montage Beverly Hills

I'm going to start with a disclaimer and be completely honest, this day date idea is strictly a preference and suggestion. I understand that it is/can be considered costly (to some) and may not be ideal for everyone. However it is an activity that my boyfriend and I personally love, which is why I am sharing it.

Had a long day at the office? Exhausted from working on back to back on projects, been on trips for so long that you come back completely burnt out? Need a day just to yourself and your significant other? Sure, you can go to dinner and/or head to the beach for some fun in the sun, but if you're really looking for the best way to unwind, I suggest spending the day at the Montage in Beverly Hills.

KSOLE and I recently returned from our travels, and the first thing on my mind was how can I reenergize and refresh myself after being gone for nearly two months? I immediately thought about the spa and while there are quite a few choices around the LA area, I chose Montage for 3 specific reasons.

1. The customer service at the Montage, whether you are there to dine on the rooftop, spend the day at the spa, or spend the night, has always been extremely pleasurable. One of my best friends had a slumber party for her birthday a few months back and the staff gave us such great treatment, from offering to take our photos for us at the pool to sending up sweet treats in celebration.

Upon visiting the spa, the staff was friendly, attentive, and was quite warming. I felt welcomed and despite running a few minutes behind on our appointment, they still didn't rush us in any way. KSOLE and I enjoyed a 60-minute couples massage and felt absolutely amazing after. The massage therapists were well experienced, adjusted to our needs happily, and the beds are heated, which is a major win for me as I get cold easily.

2. The Montage carries one of my favorite skincare lines, OSEA Malibu. A local organic and vegan skincare brand that I've been avidly using for the last year. I specifically use their moisturizer, sea minerals spray, and mud cleanser every day.

After completing our massages, KSOLE headed off to the steam room while I went in for a 60-minute ocean facial, which featured all OSEA products. We started off by cleansing my skin, putting on OSEA's red algae mask, which does tingle, and then adding some serums while getting a gentle neck and head massage. I would love to explain more in detail about what else the facial entailed, but I fell asleep about 15 minutes into it because it was that relaxing.

When I woke up at the end of the session, my face felt so smooth and super soft. I didn't bother putting makeup on for two days afterward because my skin felt too good to slather anything on top.

3. Lastly, I chose the Montage in Beverly Hills because of The Rooftop Grill. When planning our day date out, we wanted to enjoy a view while dining but also didn't want to have to drive halfway across town after a spa session. The Montage basically killed two birds with one stone for us, as the view from The Rooftop Grill was beautiful.

I don't know about you, but after an amazing massage and facial, I like to follow-up with some delicious food. With an all-day brunch menu, The Rooftop Grill hit the spot when it came to craving something light, fresh, sweet, and flavorful. We ended up ordering the sweet potato fries to start, the salmon and steak for entrees, and a lava cake for dessert. Don't forget to order the coconut juice! Perfect for hydrating yourself on a hot summer day.

The Montage offered such a perfect afternoon where you feel completely disconnected from the hustle of the city. When it comes to rest and relaxation, I can't think of a better way than to spend the day with your significant other with a couple's massage.

I highly recommend doing the ocean facial as well, and of course, dining at The Rooftop Grill (for any time of the day). The service was impeccable and the food was worth it. I'll be back soon Montage!
