Grand Solmar Resort

"Please fasten your seatbelt and put your seat in the upright position as we prepare for landing...."

It was Saturday, January 21st and I, along with my best friends, were completely exhausted from Delta's flight delay and couldn't wait to just throw all our things down in our rooms. However, upon arrival, we were unexpectedly surprised by the views, hospitality, and the service of Grand Solmar.

Grand Solmar is located in Cabo, right on the beach, and is one of many hotels under Solmar Resort's portfolio. I saw how gorgeous the resort was online, but the photos do not do this place justice.

After checking in, we quickly got work out of the way, shooting a few looks and then went downstairs to enjoy a complimentary "welcome drink" - our choice of margaritas or beers. We opted to order appetizers from the Sports Bar as we unwinded. After our brief break, we got ready and spent our first night out in town at Cabo Wabo and Squid Row. We literally danced the night away.

I made an effort every morning to wake up early enough to catch the sunrise (around 6AM) and we ended every day with purple and gold sunsets. To say this place is pure bliss is an understatement. It was a haven, the perfect escape from the LA rains and floods we were having, and the best way to ring in my 29th year.

Now I have to figure out how to top this for the dirty thirty next year.

"My favorite part of any hotel stay is room service and Grand Solmar has prompt, quick, and delicious options. I spent every morning with a hot cup of coffee and pan dulce." - Lisa Linh

Master suite: One bedroom suite with two bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, and murphy bed.

"The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The setup was nice and the customer service was great." - Jen Ordonio
Sports Bar : complimentary welcome drink of either margarita or beer included with stay.
"I loved that it wasn't overwhelming and wasn't crowded. The infinity pool was also beautiful!" - Jenn Wu
"My favorite part was the diversity of the resort's spaces." - Francis Kenneth

Thank you Grand Solmar for hosting us and for being a part of my birthday celebration. I cannot wait to come back and hope to do so soon.

Big thank you to my best friends, Jen and FK, and the most hardworking photographer, Jennifer, who captured the best moments of this trip and because of you, I have photos that I will cherish for a lifetime.

Also, shout out to Jade and Jo, who was a pleasure to meet and I cannot wait to travel together again!
