This is what a community looks like! On May 15, 2021, I and 8 other creatives hosted an Asian American and Pacific Islander Solidarity Skate Event in Covina, CA. All wheels were welcomed and over 100 attendees showed up in support of AAPI Heritage Month. Together, we raised over $1,200 for 3 AAPI charities: AAPI Women Lead, AAPI Women Alliance, and Asian Mental Health Collective.

30 years later and I finally get the birthday party I've always wanted! Growing up, my birthday celebrations were small and only included family members - all 5 of them. I never got a sweet 16, nothing to celebrate me being an adult at 18, and I don't even remember what I did for my 21st. Wait, was it Dave & Busters? 

Imagine a pop-up dinner with 2,500+ people dressed in all white, from head to toe, and enjoying an evening totally disconnected from reality. I attended my very first Diner en Blanc event last week and was in awe the entire time. The location was kept a secret up until we arrived at the meeting location. I was lucky enough to be a guest of Celebrity Cruises and was taken care of in regards to dinner arrangements. Typically, you would have to bring your own chairs and food to participate.
