Santa Ynez Inn | 3627 Sagunto St, Santa Ynez, CA 93460

Santa Ynez is located about an hour from Santa Barbara, next to Solvang and Los Alamos. It’s a small town and perfect for those who are looking for a low-key getaway, and for those wine lovers out there, this is your heaven.

Located right in town is Santa Ynez Inn, a luxurious Victorian styled property with a private spa. Upon checking in, you’ll be presented a Tasting Passport, which provides you complimentary tastings to over a dozen wine partners nearby. Yes, free wine tastings — I told you this is heaven for wine lovers.

We were given a spacious premium king suite for our stay, with a semi-private patio (shared with the neighbors next door), and easy access to the parking lot. It is self parking but there’s plenty of space so you’ll always have a spot.

Alongside the interior, I loved how spacious the room and bathroom was. Most properties I’ve been to either has a large room with a small bathroom or vice versa, but the Santa Ynez Inn has the best of both worlds with ample closet space. The fireplace in the room created a cozy vibe and kept us quite warm during our stay, as it was pretty cold and rainy.

Wine hour is offered between 5 to 6PM on the property and before heading to bed, head to the lobby for seasonal desserts between 8:30 to 9:30PM. In addition, daily gourmet breakfast is served between 7 to 10AM, and features made to order entrees. No continental breakfast buffet here! They have class and style at the Santa Ynez Inn.

We spent a quiet two nights at the inn, enjoying the jetted tub, luxurious spa robes, and velvet lounge seating in our room. If the weather was better, we would’ve enjoyed the semi-private patio more but I guess we’ll have to come back for that. Oh and did I mention that the marble floors in the bathroom are heated? I was overjoyed about this feature, as I hate cold tile floors.

Santa Ynez Inn is great for couples, so if you’re in need of a place to hide for a few days, I’d recommend them. Don’t forget to book a massage while you’re there too. Something we forgot to do and totally regret!

Thank you Santa Ynez Inn for hosting us, it was the perfect way to kick off my birthday month.
