Four Seasons Punta Mita

Less than an hour away from

Puerto Vallarta is Punta Mita, not

to be confused with Punta de

Mita, which is the town next door.

Welcome to the Four Seasons Punta Mita.

Punta Mita, a gated peninsula, secluded and protected by security and a place that many have not heard of. Beyond these gates was our home for the next four days, which for the record, is too short of a stay in this beautiful paradise.

As expected, the Four Seasons offers a high-quality getaway with the best customer service, spacious rooms, and with it being a beachfront property, gorgeous views. The views actually starts during your drive in, as we were greeted with towering palm trees and a glimpse of the ocean. Driving through that certainly set the mood for the rest of our trip, which can only be described as the most relaxing time I've ever had.

We shared a king bedroom suite with an ocean view patio during our stay. The Four Seasons was so kind to bring in an extra bed, which KSOLE claimed to be just as comfortable as the actual bed. The suite next to us had their own private jacuzzi which we envied, but to be honest, we spent more time out of the room and around the resort anyways.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh fruits, a refreshing cocktail, and guacamole and chips. Due to how large the property is, we had to be golf cart to our room and whenever we needed to get around, we just had to call the front desk for a golf cart to arrive within minutes. Yes, walking is an option as well but the humidity made it desirable to do so.

A bellman escorted us to our room and upon opening the door to our suite, we all dropped our jaws as we stepped in in awe. The room was spacious, more than enough room for the three of us with a closet space made for bloggers (hah). We couldn't get over the view we had, it is hands down one of the best views I've experienced.

We spent the next few days waking up to the sounds of the waves crashing against the sand and went to sleep with the same peaceful noises of nature. One of the nights consisted of a thunder storm, but even that was beautiful to witness that we didn't mind the rain at all.

Side note: major props to the housekeeping crew who organized our chaotic mess for us each day. They even neatly put away all our wires for our laptop and iPhone chargers, in addition to organizing our beauty products in the bathroom. The attention to detail by the staff was much appreciated.

With 2 private beaches, 4 types of rooms, villas, and residences, the Four Seasons is the perfect getaway for anyone who is looking for some R&R. Not to mention that it is family friendly with a dedicated kids and teens area filled with arcade games, a selection of video game systems, basketball court, and VR room. However, that doesn't mean that it isn't also a great place for couples and friends. We saw a great mixture of families, friends, couples, and even bachelorette parties during our stay. The best part? Everyone had huge smiles on their faces every where we went on the resort.

Did I mention that there are 3 pools that are open 24/7, which includes a lazy river? Yes, a lazy river on the property with a bar attached so you can just float away in pure bliss. Just one of the things I enjoyed on the property, the other are the beaches, Tamai (the adult pool), and of course, the spa.

To say that I loved my time there is an understatement and to explain why I love this property would take a few pages. Instead, let me show you the 3 major features of the Four Seasons Punta Mita that make it stands out above all the other hotel stays I’ve experienced (and that’s saying a lot).

1.     The Endless Views

Needless to say, I am a sucker for views. However, the view we had from our suite was magical and the views during dinner at Bahia were breathtaking. Watching the sunset with a fresh watermelon juice in hand was probably the best way to end any night.

You can catch a good ocean view from almost every corner of this property, but our favorite spot was obviously right on the beach, and you get two options. One beach has a gelato shack and the other has a cute bar. Tough choices right?

2.     Dining Options

Currently there are two main dining options, Bahia and Aramara, with a third restaurant and bar in the works with an ETA of completion for the end of this year.

Bahia offers beautiful beachside views while you dine for lunch or dinner. It's the perfect option for those who love a good sunset and good food. We loved their lobster tacos the most, along with their freshly squeezed juices (watermelon and pineapple), and filet mignon.

Aramara is indoors below the lobby with patio seating options. It combines contemporary Asian cooking techniques with fresh seafood from the shores of Punta Mita and Sayulita.

We enjoyed the crispy shrimp, dim sum, and summer rolls, but really loved the hot rock which featured a marinated New York strip. It was fun to be able to cook the pieces of meat over the hot stone. Love a good interactive dinner.

For our entrees, we ended up choosing the lobster udon noodle and one of their specials for the night, in addition to a sushi roll.

3.    Activities for All

Whether you're traveling with friends, family or significant other, there is more than enough to do.  From spending a day at the spa to the kids playing in their designated areas, which includes video games, virtual reality room, basketball court, and playground for the little ones, there is someone for everyone.

We spent two afternoons at Tamai, the adult only pool area with poolside food and drink service. It was peaceful and relaxing of course, but also a great way to just lounge away. We were able to squeeze in a spa treatment, enjoying an hour-long tequila infused massage. We also spent a few hours at the lazy river, tubing around with a cocktail in hand. These are just a few things you can do. Water sports are available as well such as kayaking and for those who just want to get some sun, there's an infinity pool and plenty of sand on the beach to get a tan.

Punta Mita is certainly the place for a luxurious getaway, with the Four Seasons providing you nothing but options for anything your heart desires.

While it is not a cheap choice, it is one that will give you a peace of mind and one that everyone will love.
