Preventing Breakouts While Traveling

From the humidity in Asia to the freezing cold weather in Canada, these key items have survived the traveling test. I've raved about some of items before (in this post), but am now so in love with the fact that they have helped maintain my skin from any weather related issues. Read below to see what items kept my skin cool, hydrated, and most importantly, acne free!

For the last 6 months, I've been traveling back and forth and have been using these key items for my daily routine. Since the weather in LA doesn't change too much, these go-to's have been my holy grail and what I've recommended to my friends who have acne prone skin. After all, the last thing I want is to go back to that horrible battle with cystic acne so I wanted to make sure that I would be well protected during my trips.

I decided to reach out to Credo Beauty experts before my adventures. Not only do they have knowledgeable staff that can answer any of your questions (in depth), they also have a fun rewards program so you can earn while you shop. They arranged a kit of what they deemed to be best for my skin after our chat and they were right on target with their suggestions. If you aren't familiar with Credo Beauty, they are my one-stop shop when it comes to finding the safest, cleanest, and best beauty items from skincare to makeup.

If you aren't familiar with my regular routine and must-have's, click here. I am a creature of habit and I believe that if a product has been working, don't stop using it. Therefore, my make-up routine has not changed at all.

What has changed recently is the addition of these 3 items below, which have kept my skin hydrated in the heat and cold.

  • Trilogy Rosapene Radiance Serum: A little goes a long way and I've tested this product for about a week and noticed that when I don't wear it, my skin is pretty dry and gets tight. It's lightweight and has no smell to it, and they a travel size that you can throw into your bag for extra hydration throughout the day. I actually mix a bit of this into my foundation each morning but the directions say to put it on before your moisturizer.
  • Zyderma Clarifying Cream: This was recommended to me because my skin was acting up a bit from prior travels and I wanted to get it under control before I left LA again. Zyderma is easy to use and does wonders for acne prone skin. You simply place it on the problem area and leave it on (preferably overnight) but you can also wear it under your make-up. Again, a little goes a long way because I keep a small sample container with me for each trip and have yet to run out.
  • Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask: I love a good mask, as I'm sure many of you do as well. There's a slight smell and the formula is gel-like, but it does really well with exfoliating your skin. You just need a thin layer and for sensitive skin, you can leave it on for just 5 minutes. Normally, it's recommended for 15-20 minutes or until the mask is dry. I like to do this with my teeth whitening strips at the same time to maximum relaxation. This comes in a travel ready package and is perfect for carry-on's.

In addition to these, I also make sure to drink plenty of water and get at least 6 hours of sleep when I travel so that my skin doesn't have a chance to act up. I also make sure to not try any new products while I'm on the road, a mistake I've made twice before and the results were not pretty.

I will say that everyone is different but so far, everything I have received from Credo Beauty has worked well for me. It's always nice to find products that work right away, which saves you the stress of having to try a million things before finding that "one".

Try Credo Beauty out and see for yourself. At the very minimum, you'll have a peace of mind purchasing any item from them because it's either fresh, clean and/or organic so you can't fuck up (hah).

P.S. This isn't a sponsored post. Just sharing what works for me to help those who are fighting/recovering their acne!
