Discovering Local Gems with UGG

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas. Well, at least it's getting colder in LA where I can finally break out the UGG boots and cashmere clothing.

It's been one crazy week and is only going to get more insane as we near the end of 2016. I took a breather from the computer and went out of the house to a local park in Glendale. Yes, this location you see is a park! I hardly get to enjoy leisure time anymore, as many entrepreneurs can agree, that the amount of time we get to ourselves dwindles are our business progresses. Forcing myself to get out and disconnect isn't always easy, but when I eventually get to do it, finding local spots around the neighborhood like this makes me glad that I did.

This park is located near GCC (Glendale City College) and while it does face a main street, the majority of the park is tucked away. You can spend a good hour here, walking around and just hanging out with friends or family. The crunching sound of leaves and children screaming in joy are what you'll most likely hear as you breathe in the "fresh" air. "Fresh" as in as fresh as it can get in LA (hah).

It was a pretty chilly evening out so I bundled myself up in my Cheyenne cashmere wrap over my Madelyn cashmere tank top, and kept my legs warm with a snug pair of denim. Of course I had to keep my head and feet warm with a beanie and my UGG classic II tall boots. The boots were so warm that I actually ended up taking off my wrap towards the end of the walk. You can certainly count on UGG when it comes to staying cozy.

I ventured a little further into the neighborhood itself and found this cute home that reminded me of a cabin. I have yet to go up to Big Bear (ever in my life) so this is as close as I get (for now).

Planning on making a trip up to the slopes before spring so send me suggestions on places to stay, go, and ski!
