An Autumn Dream

It's hard to accept that summer is ending and that the first day of fall is this Wednesday. It's even harder to believe that we're supposed to be transitioning over to trench coats and knee-high boots when the weather in SoCal is over 100+ degrees! Yesterday was a blazing 104 degrees and while we attempted to enjoy Disneyland, we gave up in about an hour. As much as I love summer, I can def use some autumn breeze about now.

So while we wait for this heat wave to disappear, I'm going to kick off this fall season with a little bit of suede from Lucy Paris and my new favorite pair of boots from Charles David. Now I'll be honest, I'm not a huge suede fan but when I saw this skirt, I fell in love. I love the button detailing in the front and the scallop trimming of the mini skirt.

I naturally gravitated towards pairing it with my Charles David boots, creating a full fall look with the addition of Trixxi Girl's crop blazer and F21 hat. I've been loving round sunnies lately and added these Archibald Optics sunnies to my collection during a visit to Bollare's showroom.

This look was shot in Central Park in NYC. I didn't get a chance to really explore the entire place, but from what I was able to see, it is absolutely stunning. I wish we had a park this beautiful near me!

I finished off the look with a F21 backpack (perfect for those going back to school) and the shirt is also from Forever 21.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I def had a well rested one and am excited for October festivities including a trip to Ojai and some Halloween fun :)
