NYFW Day 1: Brunch, Shows, & Partying

It's already Monday? NYFW has been crazy that I've lost track of time! I have today and tomorrow left in this city, and if you have been following me on Snapchat and Instagram (bylisalinh), you've seen a great deal of this gorgeous place. From Soho to Times Square, I've got to be a tourist in-between shows and meetings, which has been quite an experience. I certainly am exhausted from all the walking here, but it's also the only time I'll really exercise - ha.

We had a hectic first day, landing at 7:30AM at JFK, with the rain pouring down on us. We did a quick change at the airport and headed straight to the Hotel on Rivington for Proactiv's brunch. It was a fun, intimate setting, with a mixture of blogger babes from LA to NY, and some from around the world. We left with a ton of Proactiv goodies and tummy filled with delicious treats. After the brunch, we checked into the hotel and headed to the Desigual show. Taking a taxi during NYFW takes 3x longer than walking, but since it was raining, we stayed patient as our driver pushed through traffic. The show was great and we spotted Laverne Cox of Orange Is The New Black.

To end off our day, we party hopped from Lulu*s to Nylon. Catching up with some familiar faces and getting drenched along the way. I was completely exhausted arriving back to the hotel and fell fast asleep.

For my look, I threw on this comfy suede dress from Black File Nails, which is an amazing nail salon with talented artists (who also did my nails for NYFW). My boots are from Charles David, which I survived in for about 6 hours before I died - walking around NY is not ideal for these boots! They are cute and I'm pretty sure I would last all day in them back in LA, as I don't have to walk 20+ blocks in them.

The blazer combined cape is by BB Dakota, which I grabbed from Lulu*s and paired it with my F21 hat. I loved how easy this look was, as I didn't have to struggle with anything during bathroom breaks :)

Stay tuned for the recap of the remaining NYFW days and make sure to follow on Snapchat/Instagram (bylisalinh) to get peeks of what I'm doing for the rest of my stay!
