Grown Up Responsibilities
Don't you hate running errands? I wish there were 4 of me whenever I have to get through my list of things to-do. I also wish I had a driver, yeah I can be pretty lazy sometimes but it would save time on finding parking! I've lived on my own for almost a decade now and the first thing I realized when I was booted from my parent's was that household necessities aren't cheap! When you live on your own, you have to go to the grocery store and rationalize your meals for the week. You also have to buy things like a vacuum and then you realize you have no idea which one to even buy. But before you have a mental breakdown, just remember one thing: you can do it. Being on your own is scary as fuck. To be honest, I have absolutely no clue how I have survived because let's be real, living in LA is not cheap or easy. I still live paycheck to paycheck, have school loans that'll take years for me to pay off and my credit isn't the greatest but guess what? I'm healthy, happy, and am loving my life. Why? Because when you take that first step and do something you're terrified of, good things are bound to happen because you trusted yourself enough to do it. There's no way for you to fail when you are that determined.
The dream is free, the hustle ain't and with that being said, I'm officially announcing that starting tomorrow I will be a full-time blogger, freelance photographer, and social media marketing consultant. What does that mean? It means that yesterday, I took my first step to being my own boss and quit my day job. After 10 years of working in the corporate world, always helping grow other people's businesses and assisting in achieving their dreams, it is time for me to start pursuing mine. I had a slew of thoughts, concerns, and worries when I first thought about this change. Of course my main concern was how I would pay rent, but after discussing it over with my closest friends, I feel confident that nothing but good will come from this. With that being said, I am going be working my ass off and have a few projects coming up that I cannot wait to share with you.
