The IWP Launch Party
Last Thursday, I experienced an amazing event with some of the most inspirational women I have ever met - all thanks to the incredible Bri Seeley. The Inspirational Woman Project has been going for less than a year and the book was recently published, in which I am honored to say that I am one of the 98 women involved. I cannot believe that I am published! I'm still getting used to seeing myself in there.
The event was held in Beverly Hills and included a panel of beautifully talented women, including myself ;) I was so nervous speaking/answering questions but I will have to say that I am proud of myself for doing it! I cannot put into words how great it felt to be called inspirational.
One of the questions we were asked was how are we inspirational? I really don't wake up each morning aiming to be inspirational or trying to make a difference in the world. I just try my best to do what I can and help whoever out when I can. However, I will say that I attempt to empower others through my blog and social media accounts by sharing my experiences and stories that I believe others can relate to. I want others to know that whatever you are going through is not the end of the world. We all have had our pitfalls, moments where we don't know what to do or where we feel completely lost, but you know what? Look at where you are now and how far you have come. Success is not easy, if it was then everyone would be successful right?
Staying positive is hard in today's society, but trust me, it's worth the fight! Thank you again to Bri and the amazing women that joined us that evening. I had such a pleasure meeting everyone and seeing familiar faces.
