The Lafayette | 2223 El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego, CA
With so much history and variety of rooms, it's easy to see why The Lafayette is a favored place to stay in San Diego.
The Lafayette's very first guest was Bob Hope and if you don't know who that is, you are too young. What makes The Lafayette unique is that they have a variety of rooms to stay in from poolside to bungalows, and cater to all ages - including families.
Along with ballrooms, two restaurants, and a live piano bar, this place has something for everyone. I loved the vibe of this place and the service was amazing! The location is pretty ideal, as it's close to the zoo and Balboa Park. We just so happen to be there the same weekend that Balboa Park was holding their December nights. We had such a great time and I cannot go back on NYE for their special event and if you don't have plans yet, check it out here.
