OOTD: The Game Changer

I've gone through a hell of a roller coaster in this month. From the car accident, to being faced with challenges and having to get through them alone, to family arguments and problems that continue on and off. I've experienced the fear of living without reliable transportation, the continued fight against financial stability, and the ongoing battle of trying to stay positive in the worst situations. Regardless of the obstacle, I have been able to maintain one promise I've made to myself at the start of 2015 - keep going. It may sound impossible when you hit rock bottom to want to move forward, as you find the lack of motivation to do so. However, I can promise you this, if you keep going, it only gets better. May not happen right away but down that road, you will find what you need and you will never have to look back again.

Despite the bad luck I have had in the last few weeks, there has been many wonderful things that did result out of these situations. I am no longer carless and am in love with my new car. A lot has changed since 2006 and I'm still in awe that my car has an AUX cable and rear defroster, yes I have been missing out. Now I can listen to Ne-Yo all day, especially since he just released his latest album and I'm in love. Then again, I love all his songs and him. I cannot wait to see him at Power 106's Valentine's Crush (Thank you KSOLE!).

In addition to the new ride, I will be venturing off to a different side of fashion as a marketing coordinator for a menswear line. From lingerie to menswear, what a strange transition right? I am extremely excited to start this new chapter in my career and yes, I'm putting nursing school on pause - for now. I'm stoked to see where this will take me although I will have to be honest and admit I am a little scared as I do not want to disappoint.

However, I will not be too far from Seven 'til Midnight as I will still handle their social media and blog so you'll still see me around (just not physically in the office nor will I have to spend 90% of my day processing sales orders anymore!) So two jobs, one new car, and 11 more months to make this year epic.

Now, to celebrate the weekend I'm putting on my fuzzy sweater, mini skirt, and knee-high boots and heading out to enjoy myself. Have a happy Super Bowl weekend, hope your team wins (whoever it may be)!
