“Rather than turning the page, it's much easier to just throw the book away.”
Today we bring out the wine and toast to a new chapter that I will be embarking on. After ten years working within a corporate world, from customer service to data entry, to buyer and public relations, I am happy to say that I will be saying goodbye to the business world and hello to the world of nursing!
Well, I have another year left before I enroll into an accelerated BSN program as I have to complete my pre-requisites first. However, I have fully committed myself to this path and for several reasons. After holding several positions in the last 10 years, I found myself wondering what I really want to do in life. I hit a fork in the road and had to decide on an actual career. Sure I love blogging and would love to make money off of it but realistically, I cannot see myself blogging until I'm 40. I refuse to be a mommy blogger; no offense to mommy bloggers out there (I don't know how the heck you ladies do it but I can't even think about children at this point).
As much as I love fashion I cannot work in it. I tried my hand in PR and although I don't mind my current job, I do mind doing it full-time and "for real" (at an agency). I don't have the social stamina to survive PR. Yeah, I'll have to deal with the blood and bodily fluids but I know I'm making a difference even if it's small. My goal in life is to inspire and make a difference in this world, which I believe being a RN will satisfy that yearning within me.
You won't notice any immediate changes on the blog in regards to posting, as I plan to continue posting regularly (three times a week). However, I will have to cut back on social outings and blogger events once school starts at the end of August.
I hope you will continue to stay with me throughout the next few years as I enter a new phase of my life. Thank you to all of you who currently support me and show love! It does not go unnoticed <3
