OOTD: Romantic Red

I've purposely avoided midi skirts and dresses for a long time, mainly because I did not think I would look proportioned in them. I have a long torso and prefer to avoid anything past the knees so I can fake the long legs look. However, there was something attractive about this dress from Lulu*s and I immediately fell in love with it after trying it on. The shade of red is perfect for my skin tone and we all know how much I adore backless pieces. Especially when paired with this gorgeous necklace from Eye of Ja.

I love the way this dress feels, hugging the waistline and if you click on the photo to enlarge, you can tell that this is a textured dress. It is not lightweight but is perfect for the breezy fall evenings. I wore this outfit to my boyfriend's mom's college reunion event and was reminded that no matter how long you have not seen your closest friends, it will feel like no time has even passed when you see each other again. It was 35 years since they last seen each other and it was absolutely sweet to see how they all reminisced and squealed upon reuniting. Hopefully my high school reunion (in 2 years) will be that fun!
