Cloud Climbers Jeep Tour

My last trip to Ojai was just a quick overnight stay at Ojai Valley Inn and I was mainly there for the Ojai Wine Festival. Therefore, I didn’t get enough time to truly explore what this little town has to offer. Despite what most people think, there is more to Ojai than just wine tasting and spas. Although, those aren’t shabby activities to do either. I was pleasantly surprised by my recent girls trip to Ojai (with Z Supply) and if you’re like me, and prefer chill over chaos, Ojai is the best place to disconnect.

Ojai is located about 83 miles from LA, roughly an hour and half drive. It’s an easy drive and from my place (in San Gabriel), the 210 is the freeway you take most of the way, which allows you to avoid a good amount of traffic. For the last 20 minutes of the drive, you get some breathtaking views as you wind up the mountainside. Just be on the lookout for bikers.

We spent 3 days in Ojai and did a good amount of exploring. If we had an additional day, I would’ve loved to have squeezed in a spa day/massage and a hike, but I guess I’ll just have to go back sooner than later.

But anyways, if you’re ready to pack up your bags, here are my suggestions on what to do in Ojai with your gals.

Recommended Place to Stay: Caravan Outpost (if you like glamping)

Elevate your glamping experience with the Caravan Outpost, where you can choose from 11 of the cutest airstreams and if caravans aren’t your thing, they have a beautiful wheelhaus called Julian, that sleeps 1-5 people.

All airstreams have bathrooms located inside, air and heat, sleeps up to 4 people, and are really cute. There is also an optional communal shower, that’s about 3 times the size of the shower inside your airstream.

Every airstream is spacious, has a ton of windows/natural lighting, and the beds are pretty comfy. Some have hammocks right outside the airstream while others have cute little patio areas. The grounds itself offer coffee and tea (all day), a fire pit to cozy up to at night with optional s’mores, and a gift shop. Bikes are also available to rent for the day.

In addition, you can also throw special events and/or weddings at the Caravan Outpost. I can only imagine how beautiful that is!

Things to Do

Where to Eat

Overall, Ojai is all about being present, living life at a slower and much peaceful pace, and utilizing local resources and enjoying nature. It is great for those who just want to really getaway, leave their phones on silent, and spend quality time with quality people.
