Best Wellness Retreat for Your Bachelorette Party: Fairmont Scottsdale Princess

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is the perfect place for a stress-free, wellness-focused bachelorette weekend where you and your closest friends can just zen out the entire weekend. With 6 pools on the property, 5 restaurants, 4 different variations of accommodations available, and an endless array of activities from zip-lining to water slides, there is truly no reason why you would want to leave the property. Throw in the fact that they have the best spa too, which includes aerial yoga and sound bath meditations. Let’s not forget that they offer a spa’rty package which includes a complimentary lunch for you and the gals.

A short 30-minute ride from Phoenix airport and you’re at the luxurious Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. The first thing you may notice is the cowboy hats that the valet team has on, and the next thing you’ll notice is their smiles and their warm hospitality. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave, the entire staff is right there accommodating to whatever needs you may have. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel property that had an entire staff that is always in such a good mood. It makes you feel right at home and like you’re VIP. After checking in, you get escorted via a golf cart to your room, while also getting a tour of the property simultaneously. The property is huge and walking from one side to the other is a whole workout in itself, but golf cart services are available for free. Just ring up the front desk and they’ll be right there!

Now, the property is a little far from Downtown Phoenix, if you’re considering heading there for the night (about 30 minutes) so just be weary of your time as the walk to the lobby can take 10-15 minutes depending on where you’re staying on the property. Uber and Lyft are both available to get you around if needed.

Our first night was spent Netflix and chilling. We got some food delivered to the room, watched a movie, and turned in right after midnight. Welcome to your 30’s! The bed was really comfortable so it made it easy to fall asleep. Oh, and the room itself was spacious with a large bathroom, walk-in closet, and balcony. By the way, we stayed in the Sunset building and our room faced the Sunset pool.

The property is very family-friendly and has a dedicated area for the kids at their Trailblazers Kids Club but you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy the zip-lining, rock climbing wall, laser tag, and s’mores fire pits. This trip was all about tapping into our inner child and we had so much fun joining in on the activities. It was certainly hot in Scottsdale with each day being over 100 degrees, so we made sure to enjoy the pools, especially the adult pool that offered flamingo floaties. The Sunset pool right in front of our room also offers dive-in movies at night and features a beautiful sand area (in which I was told that they import the sand from Miami). We spent most of our Saturday at the cabana here and I love their vegan options for food, in addition to their mocktails.

Now, if you know me, then you know I need my coffee every day and there is a coffee shop and ice cream bar inside their general store. Next to the store is The Plaza Bar, where we had lunch featuring their Hot Cheeto breaded chicken sandwich, wings, spinach artichoke dip, watermelon mocktails, and fries. Highly recommend having lunch there during the afternoons, as their service and playlist are on point.

Another restaurant option I enjoyed was Toro, which requires a 5-minute property shuttle to get to. Toro offers South American and Chinese-Peruvian influences and features a rum bar. While the food was great, the dessert was honestly my favorite part. Who doesn’t enjoy an interactive dessert right? Order the La Bomba and pull out your phones when it arrives for the fun.

After exploring and indulging around the property, why not unwind at the Well & Being Spa? The ladies and I all got massages and facial treatments, and each one of us loved it so much. After our treatments, we utilized the hot therapeutic whirlpool, cold plunge pool, Swedish dry sauna, wet steam room, eucalyptus aromatherapy room, and we tried using the rooftop adults-only pool but there were not enough available seats (for our party of 8).

We scheduled a private sound bath meditation and chose to treat ourselves to the spa’rty package before leaving the spa. The sound bath meditation incorporated some yoga and was the best way for us to clear our minds. I loved it so much! The spa’rty package includes complimentary lunch, in which we were able to choose what we wanted prior to arriving, and drink orders were taken during lunch. I got the spicy tuna bowl, which I highly recommend. It was so nice to refresh our bodies with massages and facials, then clear out the clutter in our minds with the sound bath, before nourishing our tummies with delicious food. A well-spent day at the spa was much needed and was honestly the highlight of my bachelorette trip.

We often overlook ourselves and tend to put ourselves at the bottom of the list, but with this trip, I was able to remind myself and my gals that we deserve to take care of ourselves too. Taking care of ourselves is being productive and we don’t have to earn a “rest day” because self-care is not an option, it’s necessary for our sanity.

Big thank you to the wonderful team at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for one of the most epic, relaxing weekend trips I’ve ever had, and for celebrating my bachelorette with me.

Also a HUGE shoutout to my ladies, especially my MOH and the Best Man, for organizing the weekend itinerary and handling all the logistics of this trip. Everyone brought their energy this weekend and I couldn’t have asked for anything else.
