The Knickerbocker

The Knickerbocker, the perfect stay for those who want to be in Times Square but not deal with the people and chaos of it all.

Located between Broadway and Bryant Park, is The Knickerbocker, a luxury hotel that's known to be the IT spot for New Year's Eve because the ball drops right across the street. With 330 sleek and contemporary style guest rooms and an amazing rooftop, you can bet that The Knickerbocker gets booked up quite often. Luckily for us, we were able to snag a room during our recent trip to NYC.

KSOLE and I stayed in a premier city view room with a king bed, and took full advantage of room service on the very first day, due to the snow storm. I will have to admit that the room itself is a bit small and the decor is pretty minimal with no real "wow" factor. However, I guarantee that you won’t be staying indoors very much with the two bar options within The Knickerbocker.

Located on the 4th floor is the Charlie Palmer restaurant, which is where we spent our breakfasts but also serves lunch and dinner. Happy hour was spent on the top floor at St. Cloud, which has a very cozy lounge and great view of the surrounding area. I can only imagine what it looks like during the summer, as it was gorgeous with the fresh snowfall already. For a quick grab, the lobby level has Jake’s, which is great for fresh pastries and your caffeine fix.

While our trip to New York was rather quick, just about 3 days to be exact, we had a great time at The Knickerbocker and was glad to have stayed at a hotel that was located next to several subway stations. It was so easy to get around and the staff was always helpful in providing directions. Hopefully, our next visit will be a bit longer!

Thank you to The Knickerbocker for the hospitality.
