The Avalon Hotel

Ever step into a place and feel at home? That's what The Avalon Hotel feels like and I cannot wait to go back - all thanks to Sheree!

We were given a 360-degree ocean view suite with a wrap around patio balcony. The view was absolutely breathtaking and I miss waking up to it. The bathroom was gorgeous and that tub is a dream. I had packed up my Lush bath bomb especially for this trip and made good use of that tub! The best part would have to be the tempurpedic bed and the ultra soft bath robes, which are available for purchase (and I totally regret not getting one).

While I must admit that the bedsheets and carpet needs an update, and doesn't match the gorgeous tiled bathroom, I will say that it was clean and well-kept. I loved the extra storage provided in the room and the ample lighting, with light controls near the bed so you do not have to get up. The room may be small to some, but I found it just perfect for the 2 of us. After all, we did spend most of the time outside of the hotel or on the patio balcony.

Revisiting the bathroom because I loved the look of it so much - this photo does not do it justice. The mirror, the sink, the lighting, and the tub, everything was perfect. I literally wished my bathroom looked this amazing. I love the tile choice, the clean lines and the placement of it all! Ah - missing it so much.

The rooftop view of The Avalon Hotel is gorgeous. You see the ocean, the entire town, and mountains. BBQ options are available on the rooftop and plenty of seating areas so you can just relax.

Continental breakfast is served every morning with a great selection of bagels, muffins, pastries, fruit, cereal, coffee, juices, and hard boiled eggs, which are my favorite! I snagged a couple of eggs while stuffing down english muffins during our stay. Of course, I also took advantage of the freshly brewed coffee ;)

We stayed on a Monday night so there were only a few other guests, but there was not a peep at night. The staff leaves in the evening, however you can reach them via phone if you need anything. You are practically left on your own to enjoy your evening without bustling staff members or any distractions whatsoever. I loved it! The entire town pretty much closes down after 8PM with just a couple spots open, but you certainly can't get that type of quiet in Downtown LA.

If you're looking for a place that provides the ultimate relaxation, peace and quiet with a gorgeous ocean view, definitely book your stay at The Avalon Hotel. Thank you again Sheree! We will be back soon!
